The sushi bar is the best. Very good portions at a reasonable price. The sushi chefs are knowlegable and can point you to new exciting dishes that match your tastes when you want to be adventurous. Don't expect fast drink refills from the waitstaff. A lot of patrons like the hibachi, but sushi is really the jewel of this location.

Provided by SuperpagesThere's a reason this place has been in business for over 30 years. Probably the best Japanese restaurant in DFW if you're in the mood for hibachi or teriyaki fare, and most definitely if you're looking for sushi.Fair warning: this is not the place to go if you absolutely cannot stand waiting more than 20 minutes for a table. But as any regular would know: the food is well worth the wait.

Provided by SuperpagesWent last night for an early Valentines Dinner with my mom, sisters and my daughters. (my daughters are 14 year old and 11 year old). They kept putting us a side, because in the "Managers" words "nobody wants to seat with kid, you will have to wait" this was very discriminatory. We arrived before the other guest but were put last because we had kids??....even if that was the case, I have pre-teens!!!! In addition to the time we had already waited- probably 20 minutes... the "Manager" still wanted us to wait another 20 minutes... she was rude and very unprofessional... this is the last time we even think of going to this overpriced, beat down restaurant.

I have been enjoying special occasions at the Japanese Palace for years. It is a unique experience and the ambiance of the entire place transforms you to a different mood and a different place for a while. It is a delightfully enjoyable experience that I am now sharing with my children.

Provided by SuperpagesWhile waiting for a seat, the bar is a great place to wait! The staff is very friendly and accomodating. The food is OUT OF THIS WORLD good and the show is wonderful! Can get a little pricey, so bring your $$$, but DEFINITELY worth every single penny!
